OSA has announced two educational and safety seminars to provide valuable instruction in fall protection and crane truck operations. The seminars will be conducted in Tulsa at Reece Supply Company on February 23 and February 24 in Oklahoma City at Graphics Solutions Group.
The Fall Protection Safety Training will be led by Industrial safety training specialist, Mark Davis with MTD Interprises, Inc. Davis has been providing this training for OSA and other sign associations for several years. The training will cover current OSHA Fall Protection Standards. Attendees will receive instructions in the proper use and maintenance of fall protection equipment, including when to use fall protection and how to recognize and avoid unsafe working conditions. A Certificate of Completion of Fall Protection Training will be issued to each attendee.
Darrel Wilkerson, Jr., Wilkie Mfg., will instruct attendees in the various aspects of safe crane operating practices. A crane safety training specialist, Wilkerson has, over the years, given numerous training seminars to OSA and throughout the sign industry. Wilkerson will emphasize the importance of pre-operative inspections, proper crane maintenance, and compliance with OSHA safety standards. Also, a Certificate of Completion of Crane Operator Training will be issued to each attendee.
To register for this event, complete the registration form included in the January 2010 publication of the Oklahoma Sign News Newsletter under OSA Newsletters on this website.
